Conscience An inner voice that keeps people on the right track, some religions see this as a God-given instinct.
Free Will The belief that humans have free choice in life. Religions teach that people can chose to do right or wrong.
Hippocratic Oath A promise taken by doctors to preserve life at all costs. This means treating a patient to the best of one's ability.
Medical Ethics The process of deciding what is right or ethical with in medicine, such as through conscience. Many believers would apply their religious values.
Quality of Life The extent to which one's life is enjoyable and meaningful, eg. free from undue stress. Religions teach to life live to the full.
Sanctity of Life Life in all of it's forms is sacred, many religions have teachings about avoiding taking a life.
