- 1What is the Fetch Decode Execute cycle? An Fetch Decode Execute cycle is the basic operational process of a computer. Everything you do on a computer goes through this process.
- 2What does the Power supply do?The Power supply will provide all the parts of a Computer with Power. e.g. Graphics Card, CPU, Hard Drive, RAM, ROM, etc.
- 3What is the use of the CPU?The Central Processing Unit (CPU) is used to decode information that comes from the RAM.
- 4What is the use of a Case Cooling Fan?A Case Cooling fan is any fan inside, or attached to, a computer case used for active cooling to stop circuits from overheating.
- 5What is a Optical Drive?A Optical Disk Drive is a Computer Module that reads disks and will process the code in the Computer.
- 6What is RAM?Random-access memory (RAM) is a form of computer data storage which stores frequently used program instructions to increase the general speed of a system.
- 7What is a Hard Drive?Hard Disk Drives (HDD) Hard disk drives have been the dominant type of storage since the early days of computers.
- 8What is the Motherboard?A Motherboard is one of the most essential parts of a computer system. It is the Main Circuit Board to a computer.
- 9What is the Graphics Card? The Graphics Card (GPU) is very similar to a CPU, but its design is optimized to work with images.
- 10What is Cache Memory?Cache is very fast memory in the CPU. It's slower than the registers, but faster than RAM. It Stores regularly used data so that the CPU can access it quickly.
- 11What is ROM?Read-only memory (ROM) is like RAM but will not be cleared when the Computer turns off.
