Fichas del conjunto (4)
- 1RepeatabilityAn experiment is repeatable when the same person repeats it using the same equipment and gets results that are close together.
- 2ReproducibilityAn experiment is reproducible when it is carried out by different people using different equipment and the results are close together.
- 3Systematic ErrorThis happens when there is a problem with the apparatus (e.g. incorrect calibration), so the results are precise (close together) but not accurate.
- 4ReliabilityThis is assessed by comparing an individual result with a reference value or with a mean of a large number of results. The reliability of an experiment is increased by repeating and reproducing the results.
