Security
Password
- A password is a personal word or phrase that gives you access to a website or place. A password increases security because it decreases the amount of people (hopefully to just one) who can access accounts that contain your personal information or money; for example bank accounts or e-commerce sites.
- A password can be constucted from only numbers or letters, however it is best to use a mixture of characters and capitalized letters to not make the password obvious and reduce the chance of someone knowing your password.
Firewall
- Firewall is a software that protects a newtwork or system from unauthorised access. It acts as a barrier between a network and whoever wants to access it. This makes sure that you know exactly who is accessing your network and that people can't hack into your computer and steal money or personal information.
Anti-Virus
- An Anti-Virus is a software that detects, destroys and prevents computer viruses.
Encryption
- Encrytion is transfering a message into a special code (one of the most popular ones is cypher code) that only a certain group of people can access.
