Magnetism

Magnetism

1. Magnetic fields

   • the space around the magnet
     • goes from north to south
       • it can affect magnetic materials

2. Facts

   • one end of the magnet will point north if the magnet is free to turn
     • Use a glass bowl because if you use steel it will attract the magnet

3. Electromagnet

   • increasing the strength
     • turn or wraps of wire
       • voltage
         • the core

4. Relays

   • a relay in a car makes it safer
     • they don't have to touch a swich
     • they dont have to touch high voltage
