Bubonic plague
The germ is carried through the bloodstream of rats
The fleas which bite the rats become infected and move on to find more food and eventually bite the humans
These fleas multiply in warm weather and die off in cold; so this plague doesn't spread widely in winter
Sufferers have a fever and buboes(swellings) in the groin and armpits
About 70% of patients die and take four to seven days to die.
Their blood is not infected enough to infect more fleas.
Pneumonic plague
Caught through breathing, patients cough blood and spray out germs every time.
Attacks lungs
It kills everyone infected within two days
Isn't affected by weather or climate.
Doctors did not know about germs spreading disease
