1. command line interfaces

   • a command line interface allows the user to interact with the interface using commands
   • (D)commands will not work if the command is not typed correctly.
   • (A) an advantage is that they do not need the memory or processing power that modern computer need
   • (D) an inexperienced user may find it difficult to use this certain interface because of the number of commands that need to be learnt.

2. Menu Driven Interfaces

   • The user is offered a simple menu from which to choose an option.(Simple Menu)
   • A full screen menu covers trhe entire screen(full screen menu)
   • A menu bar is the set of options at the top of the screen. When an option is chosen a drop-down menu may be offered.( Menu Bar)
     • (A) they are easy to use as the user does not have to remember sets of commands
     • (D) they can be irritating if there are too many levels of menus to move around

3. Graphical User Interfaces

   • Features of GIU's
     • (A) It is much easier for beginners
     • (D) They use a lot of memory and processing power
     • (D) It can be irritating because it can need multiple operation to complete simple tasks.
   • Good user interfaces
     • Should be attractive to the eye
     • Be simple to use
     • use words that are easy to understand aimed at the type of user
