_Classification of the different diseases and disorders of the digestive system_

1. _Diseases_ (It's a particular abnormal, pathological condition that affects a part or all of the organism).

   • -Ulcers: They are the effects of acid attacks with the help of a bacteria called Helicobacter Pylori. They can appear in the esophagus, stomach or the small intestine (duodenum).
   • -Chron's disease: it's an autoimmune disease caused by a mistake from the body's immune system, which attacks the gastrointestinal tract. It attacks the small intestine.
   • -Tooth Decay: Progressive corrosion of the teeth caused by bacteria. They feed on food remains.
   • -Gastroenteritis: It's an acute disease generally caused by viruses or bacteria. In some cases it indicates food poisoning.
   • -Appendicitis: it's an infection of the appendix. It is found in the last section of the small intestine and the beginning of the large intestine.
   • -Food intolerances: Somebody that suffers this disease cannot eat a protein commonly known as gluten. Gluten is found in products that contain wheat. When consumed it gives terrible tommy aches.
     • -Lactose is also another food intolerance that many people suffer from. It means they are allergic to the protein of the cow that is called: lactose.
   • -Diarrhoea or constipation: The diarrhoea happens when their is an accelerated passage of food that causes the feces to be liquid, with the risk of loosing a big quantity of water and mineral salts. Constipation happens when their is a very slow bowel movement that obstructs the intestine and causes discomfort.

2. _Disorders_ (An abnormal condition affecting the body of an organism).

   • -Obesity: All energetic nutrients consumed when body necessities are covered become fat.
   • -Anorexia and Bulimia: Anorexia happens when a person pursues slimness by cutting down food and over exercising. Bulimia happens when the person goes throw excessive eating followed by phases of making themselves vomit or taking laxatives.
