Algorithms

1. Abstraction

   • The process in which unnecessary detail is removed so that you are able to focus more on the relevant information

2. Decomposition

   • The process of breaking a big problem into small problems which allows large teams to work on each part and solve seemingly impossible problem

3. Binary sort

   • 1. You compare the first two items in the dataset and if the are in the wrong order, swap them
   • 2. You then compare the second item with the third item, if in the wrong order swap them
   • 3. continue doing this till you have gone through the entire dataset until you have complete a full sweep
   • 4. Once you have done the first sweep you do a second on the new dataset you just made
   • 5. You continue performing sweeps till you can perform a sweep without making any change

4. Merge sort

   • 1. Split the dataset into two halves and the split those halves into half
   • 2.When you have split the halves enough to reach two individual elements, compare them and put then in order accordingly
