   • The difference between hardware and software is that the hardware constitutes the physical elements that make up a computer. These elements can be seen and touched. And the software consists of the programs, instructions, algorithms ... In other words, software is what we consider the element of intelligence

   • has two types of diveces
     • external device
       • power source
       • mainboard or motherboard
       • RAM or main memory
       • microprocessor
       • hard drive
     • internal devices
       • data input peripherals ( keyboard, mouse...)
       • data output peripherals ( screen and pinter)
       • bidirectional peripherals ( router)
   • DEFINITION: the architecture of a computer refers to the way in which its physical components are configured and organised

3. DEFINITION: is an electronic machine made up of a set of physical devices capable of performing a number of operations using information very quickly and accuaratly

   • To interconnect all devices, tracks are used for components that are not soldered directly on the motherboard. They are known as buses
     • there are three types of buses in a computer:
       • DATA BUSES
       • ADDRESS BUSES
       • CONTROL BUSES
