   • Pseudocode
     • A bit like programming code but not specific to any programming language
   • Flowchart
     • A graphical representation using arrows and symbols to describe a set of steps.
   • Structured English
     • The use of English words to describe the steps of an algorithm in a non-technical way so it is easier to understand

2. Purpose

   • To solve a problem or complete a task

3. Definition

   • Algorithms are a finite set of instructions ot solve a problem or complete a task

4. Importance of Accuracy

   • Accuracy is impotant so everything works correctly.
   • One mistake could ruin the entire algorithm.
     • Expensive projects have been known to fail because of and accuracy mistake.
       • An example of this is the explosion of Ariane 5 in 1996.
