1. Variables, Subroutines and Arrays

   • defining variables- variableName is integer
   • set variable = 0
   • Declare subroutineName.....End Subroutine
   • arrayName[x]

2. String handline

   • mid(string, x, y) gets value between x and y
   • left(string, x) takes x no of characters from the left
   • right(string, x) takes x no of characters from the right
   • instring(x, string1, string2) inserts string2 into string1 after character x
   • val(string) gets ASCII value and char(number) gets character(s) from ASCII
   • len(string) gets length and trim(string) removes extra bits like spaces

3. Repetition and Ifs

   • for i = .... next i
   • repeat....until
   • do.....loop
   • do....while
   • while....repeat
   • if....else....end if

4. Comments and Annotations

   • {annotaion in squiggly brackets}
   • /*comments for program*/
