Nota:

  • I put Renaissance in the middle because this is the topic of this unit and all the other things started from the Renaissance period. 
  1. Rebirth of Classical Ideas

    Nota:

    • The Renaissance is all about the rebirth of classical ideas and changing it, proving things wrong. It is a motivation of people's studies. 
    1. Ancient Greece and Rome

      Nota:

      • The classical ideas originated from the study of Ancient Greece and Rome. That is why I put it under the rebirth of classical ideas. 
      1. Change/Advances

        Nota:

        • The rebirth of the classical ideas are what led the studies of different things happen. THis catergory is also listed on the subtitle because I feel like this coul be related to everything below the catergory of "change"
      2. Change

        Nota:

        • I put change under the Renaissance because change is a really important part of the Renaissance. A lot of things changed and became better. 
        1. Archietecture

          Nota:

          • Archietecture is put under change because the dome was invented and the style of building has been past down still. 
          1. Brunelleschi

            Nota:

            • Brunelleschi is an amazing archietect. He invented the dome and a way to support it. That style still remains in today's life. 
            1. Raphael

              Nota:

              • Raphael is an archietect and painter. He built the villa madama wihch included domes. 
            2. Arts

              Nota:

              • The arts are put under change because arts is actually a main thing that the Renaissance was famous for. 
              1. Donatello

                Nota:

                • Donatello is a sculpter from Florence. He sculpted a lot of statues. That's why I put him under the arts.

                  Nota:

                  • Patrons are people who supports artist, that why it's put under art. 
                  1. Michelangelo

                    Nota:

                    • Michelangelo is a sculptor and painter who made great acheivements such as sculpting the statue of David and painting the creation of adam. 
                    1. Perspective

                      Nota:

                      • I put perspective under arts because arts is all about perspectives. Many perspectives of people have been changed.
                    2. Science

                      Nota:

                      • I put science under change because a lot have changed about science since Renaissance peopl keep rediscovering things about the past that is not true and giving the true meaning.
                      1. Copernicus

                        Nota:

                        • Nicholaus Copernicus studies astronomy. He also made the heliocentric thoery, proving the geocentric theory wrong. 
                        1. Gallileo

                          Nota:

                          • Galileo is put under science because he is a scientist and astronomer just like copernicus. He also further proven the helioventric theory.
                          1. Vesalius

                            Nota:

                            • Vesalius is under science because anatomy and medicine is a part of science because they study biology, chemistry and other things like that. 
                            1. Medicine
                          2. Literature

                            Nota:

                            • A lot of famous literal works were made at this period and petrarch wrote books in language of their time. 
                            1. Shakespeare

                              Nota:

                              • Shakespeare is a really well known person even til this day. His plays and poems are all still being performed. 
                              1. Non Religious Themes

                                Nota:

                                • Most of Shakespears work are non religious. His works usually reflects the day in a life or something like that. 
                              2. Petrarch

                                Nota:

                                • Petrarch is like the father of literature. He is the first writer to bring the concept of humanism to his writings. 
                              3. Renaissance Person

                                Nota:

                                • Renaissance person is put under change because most of them are hummanists, and humanists changed the idea of many things. 
                                1. Leonardo DaVinci

                                  Nota:

                                  • Leonardo Davinci is the classic Renaissanec person where he did everything possible and masters it. He is a good engineer and had the thought of helicopters at the time. 
                                  1. Gutenberg

                                    Nota:

                                    • Gutenberg is a Renaissance blacksmith. He invented the printing press and later printed the famous printed bible.
                                    1. Ptinting Press

                                      Nota:

                                      • The printing press was invented by Gutenberg and it was a huge developement so people could make copies easier. 
                                      1. Famous Printed Bible

                                        Nota:

                                        • The famous printed bible was made because of the creation of the printing press that gutenberg made. 
                                  2. Florence, Italy

                                    Nota:

                                    • I put Florence, Italy under the big title because I think that The Renaissance happened on the soil of Italy, and it is an important factor of the start of the Renaissance. 
                                    1. Politics

                                      Nota:

                                      • Politics are put under Florence, Italy because the politics of a country is sometimes what makes the society work and fail. 
                                      1. Machiavelli

                                        Nota:

                                        • Machiavelli is been put under this section because he studies polical science and is a polititian. 
                                        1. Humanism

                                          Nota:

                                          • Many thoughts about politics are changed because of humanism. Thoughts of people are also changed. 
                                          1. Independent Thinking

                                            Nota:

                                            • Humanism basically tells you to think independently and to not be limited by what is laid in front of u and to always question things. 
                                            1. Petrarch

                                              Nota:

                                              • Petrarch is under humanism because petrarch writes with the concept of humanism. He is also one of the first humanists. 
                                              1. Power of the Church and Kings Challenged

                                                Nota:

                                                • Humanism changed the ideas of people, so the power of the church and kings are challenged because of the different thoughts the catholic church and humanists have. While catholics needs to listen to God, humanists have their own ideas and questions everything. 
                                            2. Medici Family

                                              Nota:

                                              • I put the Medici family under Florence, Italy because they first attained wealth and political power in Florence in the 13th century through its success in commerce.
