Logic Gates
- NOT
- With “NOT” logic there is just one input and one output. It changes the input to the opposite value.
- AND
- With “AND” logic there are two inputs and one output. If both of the inputs are positive then the output will be positive.
- OR
- With “OR” logic there are two inputs and one output. If either of the inputs is positive or if both of the inputs are positive then the output will be positive.
- EXCLUSIVE OR
- With “XOR” logic there are two inputs and one output. If either of the inputs is positive then the output will be positive but if both are positive then the output will be negative.
- NOT

RAM
- RAM is random access memory; it is generally much smaller than any other hard disk. It can be changed and edited. RAM is volatile and the data is subjectable to loss. It stores operating systems, all running programs and data files that are currently in use. RAM is needed to help to help the CPU access data quickly.
- There is two types: Volatile and Non Volatile
- Volatile memory is computer storage that only maintains its data while the device is powered.
- Static - Dynamic
Cache Memory: Memory that a computers microprocessor can access more quickly than it can with regular RAM
Maximum size of main memory is determined by the Address Bus
- An address bus is a computer bus architecture used to transfer data between devices that are identified by the hardware address of the physical memory (the physical address), which is stored in the form of binary numbers to enable the data bus to access memory storage.
