1. Variable ratio: reinforcement based on a number of actions taken. The number varies, however it will average to a certain ratio

   • Studies show that variable ratios result in the most actions taken/maximum behavior repitition compared to other strategies
     • Casino's use this model with slot machines. Reward is not based on time, but on the number of times you play. It's not on a fixed schedule, but a random, variable one. This strategie results in you taking more actions (playing more), which in the end makes the casino's the most money.
