B4, B5, B6

1. Cell Structure

   • Animal
   • Plant
   • Yeast
   • Bacteria

2. Enzymes

   • They have chemical reactions going on inside
   • Enzymes will only react with a specific substrate
   • Lock and Key model
   • They need the right temperature and PH level to react

3. Aerobic Respiration

   • Aerobic means with Oxygen
     • So something that uses Aerobic needs lots of it
       • C6H12O6 + 6O2 --> 6CO2 + 6H2O
   • Reactions that release energy by breaking down food

4. Anaerobic Respiration

   • Bacteria, Plant and Animal cells Do this
     • This produces lactic acid. Glucose --> Lactic acid + Energy released
     • Can also produce ethanol and Co2

5. Photoynthisis

   • 6CO2 + 6H2O --> C6H12O6 + 6O2
   • Rate of Photosynthesis is affected by.
     • Light
     • Amount of CO2
     • Tempreature

6. Transect

7. Osmosis is the overall movement of water from an low concerntrate to a high concerntrate

8. Diffusion is the movement of particles from a high concentration to a low concretion.

9. Meiosis and Mitosis

10. Ribosome and RNA

11. Animal and plant development.

    • Animal
      • Zygote can turn into anything
    • Plant
      • Plans grow from Mesistems

12. Phototropism

    • Positive Phototropism is where plants grow towards the sun
    • Negative Phototropism is where the roots grow away from the sun
    • Auxins cause the plant to bend towards the light

13. Nervous System

    • Sensory Neurons
    • Motor Neurons
    • Effectors are muscuels and glands
    • Neurons
      • The gap between is a synapse and chemical signals are released there.
        • Some drugs such as PROZAC affect this
    • Reflexes are involuntary and we dont think about them

14. Learning

    • Pavlov and his Dog (Conditioned reflex)
    • Brain can create pathways that get stronger over time.
