A covalent bond shares a pair of electrons between 2 atoms.
Strong attraction between the shared pair of electrons and the nuclei of the atoms
Simple covalent structures have low melting and boiling points due to weak forces between molecules.
Giant covalent structures have high melting and boiling points as there are many strong covalent bonds
