How To Protect Your Computer

Spyware:
A software that enables users to obtain information about another computers activity by transmitting data covertly from their hard drive.
It hides itself somewhere on your computer collecting information about you and what you do on the internet. It can invade your privacy by passing on your personal information.
Cookies:
A message given to a Web Browser by a Web Server.
Main purpose of a cookie is to identify users and prepare a more personalized experience. It saves usernames, passwords etc.
