Question Answer
Levels of organization. The unity of the universe is in its materiality, and matter comes in two basic varieties: the substance and the field. The subject for study is organized in levels of increasing complexity known as levels of organization of matter. Levels of organization of matter are units of different degrees of structural and functional complexity of the matter, in relation to their physical, chemical and biological characteristics.
These levels are classified as abiotic (those not manifest life) they belong to the atomic level and molecular level, and biotic (which manifested life) which includes levels: cell, organism, population, community and biosphere . The atomic level: It is made up of atoms and these in turn have a complex structure. Atoms are composed of sub-atomic particles such as neutrons, protons and electrons. Atoms have properties such as atomic mass, valency, electronegativity, among others.
The molecular level: includes molecules which are formed by the association of atoms interacting via links and chemical interactions. From the diversity of atoms exist, they can form different types of molecules with different functions in nature. The body: A self-regulating system of living matter, which functions as an independent whole, constantly exchanging substances, energy and information with the environment, allowing their individual development and reproduction. Biosphere exist in unicellular organisms such as bacteria, protists and some fungi and yeasts, and multicellular like most fungi, plants and animals.
Population: A group of organisms of the same species that are related to each other, who live in a particular place at a given time. The biosphere is the ultimate level of organization of living matter and includes all communities of the Earth in interaction with others as a greatest manifestation of the balance of nature.
