Cards in this deck (5)
- 1What is an Algorithm? In mathematics and computer science, an algorithm is an umambiguous specifiction of how to solve a class of problems. Algorithms can perform calculation, data processing and automated reasoning task.
- 2What is Pseudocode?Pseudocode is an informal high-level description of the operating principle of a computer program or other algorithm. It uses the structural convections of a normal programming language, but is intended for human reading rather than machine reading.
- 3What are Variables? In computer programming, a variable or scalar is a storage location paired with an associated symbolic name, which contains some known or unknown quantity of information referred to a value. For example, the number of lives. A variable can change while the program is running.
- 4What is a constant?Similar to a variable but cannot change while the program is running. For example, the number of starting lives in a game.
- 5What are data types?A particular kind of data item, as defined by the value it can take, the programming language used, or operations that can be performed on it.
