- 1what are privacy settings?they are a part of a social media sight that allows you - when you go into settings - you can say who sees your posts and pictures
- 2how can you alter privay settings?if you go into settings and click on who can see my posts it will give you an option usually of everyone, friends and contacts.
- 3how is keeping private information to yourself important?if you give out your personal information like your address people could find your house also if you give out information that is sensitive people could bully you.
- 4what it cyber bullying?it is where somebody is mean to you via social media. this can be done by calling somebody a name or picking on how they look or their family.
- 5how can cyber bullying affect people?people get upset because they are on their own and they can get isolated and not tell anybody about it. if you don't tell anybody it will not get sorted out.
- 6what is copy write?it is where a person downloads illegal documents and use them as their own. people who have made the documents have spent a lot of time on their work and when people go and use them without paying they can get put in prison and get fined.
- 7why is copy write important?it is important because it protects an authors work with the copy write symbol next to the persons work if they do not want people to copy write their work.
- 8what is hacking ?it is where someone logs into someones computer and finds out their personal information and then wen they get the information they can steal money from your bank.
- 9what is malware ?it is where somebody uploads a malicious software onto your device without you knowing. this can slow your computer down it can also steal your personal information.
- 10how can you protect yourself form malware and hacking?if you want to protect yourself you can install a program on your computer that will delete any malware and stop it from happening again. also change your password to a stronger one this will make it harder for the hacker to log in.
- 11what is phishing?it is where someone puts an advertisement out and makes you want to sign up. when you sign up they will get your bank details and then cut you off from getting the deal. they will use your bank details and get money from your bank.
- 12what are the issues related to information?it can sometimes be wrong and tell you the wrong things, like that you can get a free i phone when the people are just trying to get your details.
- 13what is the data protection act ?it is a law to protect personal data stored on a computer. Everyone responsible for using data has to follow strict rules called the data protection principals.the information commissioner is the person to has power to enforce the act. the data subject is a person that has data about them stored outside their direct control. the data controller is the person or company that collects and keeps data about people.
