What is the difference between a hard disk and flash memory? Hard disk loads quicker and has a bigger storage, but flash memory has a smaller physical space but it is a lot more expensive.

What is a file server? A computer on a network that holds software, flies and data so that they can be accessed by network users.
What is a print server? A computer on a network that control the printers and sends print jobs to the right printer
What does BIOS stand for? Basic in and out system, It gets a computer started once you turn it on
What is the purpose of a username? So that you can login to your personal account with your files stored on it.
What is the purpose of a password? So that you can keep your data and files safe from hacking. You should use a strong password to prevent his from happening.
What are network topologies? There are 4 types of network topologies. There is: Tree networks, Ring networks, Star networks, mesh networks
What is the internet A collection of computers and servers connected together in a global network that is used by millions of people world wide.
What is a protocol? A set of rules used by computers for communication with each other
What is cloud computing? Cloud computing is a shared area within a network which allows you to upload a copy of the files on a device, so that if the device stooped working, there is a copy of those files in the cloud.
How does ICT help with modern living? It can help with the following things; Transport Home Commerce Medicine Surveillance Communications.
What is voice recognition and how do we use it? Its when you speak into a computer and it inputs an action with what you've told it to do. E.G. Siri or a satnav.
What is voice synthesis and how do we use it? Voice synthesis is where you type into a computer and it reads it out to you. E.g. Google translate
