| What is a network? | A computer network is two or more computers connected via a wired or wireless connection which allows you to share data. |
| What is a P2P / Peer to Peer? | In a peer to peer network the computers are connected via the internet and all have equal rights ( there is no admin to restrict people from doing harm). |
| Client server | A computer system in which a central server provides data to a number of networked workstations. |
| What is WAN? | Wide area network: it is a network that has a reach over a large geographical area e.g the internet |
| What is a LAN? | Local area network: it is a network that spans over a small geographical area - usually under 2km- e.g the school |
| Performance factors in a network | Latency - the delay in which data is transferred Traffic - the amount of users using a network at once trying to access data Bandwidth - Amount of data distributed in a certain time |
