Give an example for why the negative effects of media violence doesn't receive universal support? (AO2) Cumberbatch - people might get 'used' t on screen violence. However, this doesn't mean they will use violence - more likely to make children more frightened.
How does media desensitise children and stimulate aggression? Media violence stimulates aggression by desensitising the child against its effects - the more they view the behaviour the more acceptable it becomes.
How is the use of violence usually prevented before desensitisation occurs? Anxiety usually reduces the use of violence because the child knows the behaviour is wrong and is aware of the harm it causes
