| MAC address | A MAC address is an address that is embedded into your device so other devices know what that device and its property's are when on a network. Your device will have one even without a network card of any form. |
| FTP | File Transfer Protocol is a protocol that is used for transferring files from a device to a network server |
| HTTP | Hypertext Transfer Protocol is a protocol that is used in the distribution of Media and other data on the internet |
| HTTPS | A secure version of HTTP that is usually used for transactions online, such as PayPal. |
| SMTP | Simple Mail Transfer Protocol is used to send messages such as emails to a web server. |
