What do transport layers do? The transport layer is the layer in the open system interconnection (OSI).
What does the application layer consist of? It consists of protocols that focus on process-to-process communication across an IP network and provides a firm communication interface and end-user services.
What is a hub? A hub, also called a network hub, is a common connection point for devices in a network.
Whats the difference between a hub and a switch? Function of a switch vs. a hub. A switch is used to connect various network segments. A network switch is a small hardware device that joins multiple computers together within one local area network (LAN). A Hub connects multiple Ethernet devices together, making them act as a single segment.
