- 1The difference between RAM and ROMRAM is volatile, ROM is non volatile.
RAM stores programs the computer is using. ROM stores the instructions needed to boot the computer. - 2I can tell the correct storage for a given scenario based on capacity, speed, portability, durability and reliabilitySuch as if you are trying to record a show I would recommend Magnetic storage because it has the highest capacity. But if you are travelling and don’t care about capacity I would recommend optical storage finally if you are recording an action video what isn’t long I would recommend solid state storage.
- 3Cultural issueAn issue which affects a particular group of people. A “culture” can be described as the values, beliefs and social behaviour of particular people or a society.
- 4Ethical issueSomething which raises questions about right or wrong in the views of society.
- 5StakeholdersA stakeholder is anyone with an interest in a business. Stakeholders are individuals, groups or organisations that are affected by the activity of the business.
- 6How key stakeholders are affected by technologiesA stakeholder is someone who has an interest in the way technology develops. It might be because they are a consumer of the technology, perhaps using it for socialising, playing games, communicating with friends or shopping. It could be because they are a supplier or manufacturer of the technology.
- 7CPUTo fetch, decode and execute instructions.
- 8The purpose of ROMROM is needed because it stores the instructions needed to boot the computer.
- 9Cache The cache stores the instructions frequently used by the CPU.The cache stores the instructions frequently used by the CPU.
-----------------------------------------------------------
How it affects performance: More cache will allow more instructions to be stored, meaning less time taken to fetch data from the RAM. - 10The purpose of RAMTo store data and programs the computer is currently using.
- 11Reason why secondary storage is neededNon volatile storage is needed on a computer system in order to store the operating system, programs and files.
- 12Biggest advantage of LANIs that it's super safe and can share resources with who ever it wants.
- 13Star topologyThe nodes connect with each other through a central point.
- 14Mesh topologyAll of the nodes are connected to each other without needing a central switch.
