| What are Tectonic hazards? examples? | Volcanoes and Earthquakes, caused by movement of the earth's tectonic plates. Earthquakes and volcanoes can also result in tsunamis and landslides. |
| What are tectonic plates? | Large sections of the Earth/s crust which float on the magma of the core, moved by convectional currents. These movements cause tectonic hazards. |
| Climatic Hazards? Example? What are they? | Storms, floods, drought. Hazards that are caused by the weather and climate. |
| Describe a constructive plate boundary. | When two plates (usually both oceanic) move away from each other, exposing the mantle underneath. As it cools a new crust forms. |
| What can be found at a constructive plate boundary? | New islands/ridges e.g. North Atlantic Ridge. Gentle Volcanoes and Earthquakes present. |
