Oak (Hard wood) It's strong and durable and it's used a lot for building houses and boats in the past. It's becoming rarer which makes it more expensive than before.
Beech A tough wood but expensive Enably mositure and vapour to penetrate it so it's not suitable for exterior use. Used for plywood facing,toys cooking implements.
Mahogany Has an attractive finish, quite easy to work. Oil in the wood sometimes give people a skin crack or break down. Use for high quality jewellery, window widely use as veneer
