- 1Firewall.Prevents unauthorised acces to computer systems. Such as bugs and viruses.
- 2Anti-Virus Software.Protects the computer system from viruses. Detects problems and tries to solve them.
- 3Phishing.Is a scam email or website that looks official designed to get confidential information from the user.
- 4Encryption.Is scrambled data/jumbled up data/meaningless data to prevent hackers reading it and only the other person who has the key can access it. To protect data that is transmitted over the internet.
- 5Backup.Is copied data currently in use that should be made regularly. use of file generation software.
- 6Archive.Data which is moved which is currently not in use and may have to keep the data legally for so many years. Used for future reference. Also to free up access on the computer which also makes it run faster.
- 7Virus.Can destroy data or damage data and can easily copy it self and access personal data on the computer system.
- 8Key logging.Is when a hacker records every keystoke the user does usually to find out the password or any personal data.
