Question Answer
Standard form Standard form: no x 10 power of no ( ex: 90000 = 9 x 10 to the power of 4 )
Algebraic Expressions expression: 3x + 7y equation: 2m + 3p = 12
Percentages Percentage of a quantity: percentage/ 100 x amount
Percentage increase and decrease: % change = change/ original x 100%
Reverse percentages: Before/ after x amount (table of before, after, change)
Interest Simple Interest: I = PTR/ 100
Pythagoras theorem Pythagoras theorem: c squared = a squared + b squared
IMPORTANT: Triangles: 3-4-5 5-12-13 7-24-25
Cylinders Cylinders: volume of prism: area of cross section x H ( cross sectional area = pie x r squared)
Cylinders: Volume of a cylinder: pie x r squared x h
Trigonometry Trigonometry ratios: SOH CAH TOA sin = opp/hyp cosine = adj/hyp tangent = opp/ adj
Bearings Bearings: REMEMBER: 1. always measure clockwise 2. always measure from the north 3. give as a 3 figured number
Polygons Polygons: sum of interior angles: 180(n-2) *n = number of sides
Regular and irregular polygons: Each interior angle: 180 (n=2) -------------- n
Polygons: Exterior angles: 360 ------ n
Linear graphs Linear graphs: y = mx + c
Gradient and y intercept: Gradient: m = triangle y/ triangle x
Quadratic graphs Quadratic graphs: ax squared + bx + c = 0 (know its quadratic as x has a power of 2)
