- 1virussoftware program that is designed to copy itself over and over again and to attach itself to files and programs. Just as bacteria and micro-organisms can infect humans.

To clear the problem please purchase this software', and a link is provided in the pop-up.
You would call the number and a scammer would try to get money from you. - 7RansomwareRansomware encrypts critical files and data, making them unusable. Eventually it presents the user with a ransom, demanding money be sent to the attackers to unlock the system or files.
- 8RootkitsRootkits give other people permissions and access to your computer, allowing them to take it over remotely and do whatever they like.
- 9PhishingPhishing is the fraudulent attempt to obtain sensitive information such as usernames, passwords and credit card details by disguising as a trustworthy entity in an electronic communication. E.G. emails, text messages.
