- 1Opportunist ThreatThis is where people steal when the opportunity is presented to them, for example if someone leaves a laptop unattened.
- 2Computer VirusesThese small programs can be received via email or on a memory stick. They can "self replicate" which means they can make copies of themselves and cause networks to fail. One of the most famous viruses was the 'I LOVE YOU' virus.
- 3Other MalwareMalware can be Internet worms, trojan horses, and spyware. They often run without you even knowing.
- 4PhishingComes from email and usually pretends to be a representative from a bank. Thay may prentend they need to verify your security imformation and require your details, when you enter them, the criminals will steal money from your account.
- 5Accidental DamageThis may be where you spill a drink on your laptop or computer or maybe just drop it. Incidents like these may cause permenant damage to the hard disk, causing all your data to be lost.
