Cards in this deck (18)
- 1Endo ExplorerAn instrument with long, sharp angle. It is used to feel for and locate the tiny openings of the root canals
- 2Endo FilesSmall, color-coded hand or rotary instruments with "threads." They are used to clean out infected nerve tissue and reshape the internal walls of the canal (k-files, hedstrom)
- 3Luer Lock SyringeA specialized syringe used to hold and deliver irrigating solutions into the canal. The needle "locks" on to prevent it from flying off under pressure
- 4Sodium HypochloriteBleach. It is the primary solution used to dissolve organic tissue and disinfect the canals during a root canal
- 5Apex LocatorAn electronic device used to determine the exact length of the root canal by measuring the distance to the apex

- 7Paper PointsSmall, tapered sticks of absorbent paper inserted into the canal to dry it completely before it is filled (obturated)
