Artificial Intelligence - Introduction

Cards in this deck (14)
- 1What is an agent? An agent is an entity that interact with its environment
(Perception through sensors and actions through actuator or effector)
- 2What is a rational agent?For each possible percept sequence, a
rational agent should select an action that is expected to maximize its performance measure, given the evidence provided by
its percept sequence and whatever built-in knowledge the agent has - 3Environment Properties: Fully vs. partially observableAn environment is full
observable when the sensors can detect all aspects that are
relevant to the choice of action. - 4Environment Properties: Deterministic vs. stochasticIf the next environment state is completely determined by the current state and the executed action then the
environment is deterministic. - 5Environment Properties: Episodic vs. sequentialIn an episodic environment
the agent’s experience can be divided into atomic steps
where the agents perceives and then performs a single
action. The choice of action depends only on the episode itself. - 6Environment Properties: Static vs. dynamicIf the environment can change
while the agent is choosing an action, the environment
is dynamic. Semi-dynamic if the agent’s performance changes even when the environment remains the same. - 7Environment Properties: Discrete vs. continuousThis distinction can be
applied to the state of the environment, the way time is handled and to the percepts actions of the agent. - 8Environment Properties: Single vs. multi-agentDoes the environment
contain other agents who are also maximizing some
performance measure that depends on the current agent’s actions? - 9What is PEAS?• Performance (Safe, fast, legal, etc)
• Environment (Road, traffic, customer)
• Actuators (Accelerator, display, brake)
• Sensors (Cameras, sonar, FPS) - 10What is table-driven agent?A table of percept and a function that maps an action to the percept.
- 11What is simple reflex agent?Agent that act depending on the current percept. Based on a condition-action rule. (Ignore historic / previous actions)
- 12What is model-based reflex agent?Keep a internal representation of the environment.
- 13What is goal-based agent?Same as model-based except that the agent keeps a set of goal state.
- 14What is utility-based agent?Use a utility function to choose between state.
