Strength- static,dynamic(repeated),explosive(rapid) ability of the body to apply a force or the maximum force that can be developed in a muscle or group of muscles during single contraction. Strength in core muscles will help avoid back pain and injuries
Speed distance/time Ability to put body parts into motion quickly or the rate that a person can move over a specific distance. Need to move quickly in everyday life (catch a bus) Greater risk of injury if we have poor muscular strength and flexibility
Stamina The ability to provide and sustain energy aerobically over long periods of time without fatigue. Having stamina to do everyday tasks.
Muscular endurance The ability of a muscle or group of muscles to sustain repeated contractions against resistance for an extended period of time. Delivering oxygen to the muscles so has related health issues linked to heart
Flexibility The range of movement at a joint. Helps avoid injury enables us to reach down or up to things without tearing or pulling muscles/tendons
Power Amount of work done per unit of time or the product of strength and speed. Able to carry out everyday activities that require rapid movements
