| What is data? | Data is meaningless, or unprocessed, it doesn't mean anything . Consists of raw facts and figures, they have no use before they are processed. |

| Processed can mean... | Having calculations performed on it or dates added to it. |
| What is knowledge? | knowledge: has a rule, obtained from information by applying rules to it. (applying conmen sense). |

| Evaluating data | Data should be evaluated before use. evaluation checks the data: is it fit for purpose? is it accurate? it is not biased |
