What is a commodity? Anything that is sold on the world market
What is a cash crop? A crop that is grown for the sole purpose of selling. It is not grown to feed the farmer.

What is Protectionism? When developed countries put taxes on manufactured coffee form developing countires to protect their own economy.
What does this symbol mean? Fair trade movement

What does bilateral mean? Giving from one country directly to another
What does multilateral mean? Giving aid to a 3rd party group like the United Nations who then give out the aid.

Emergency aid Given after a natural disaster Food, tents, medicine, clothes
Development aid Given over long period of time. Given to help develop a country. Schools,roads, wells, hosiptals.
Tied aid Given to a country with strict conditions attached.
