  1. When the tadpole hatches from the egg, it has no legs. It has a long tail and gills so that it can breathe in the water.
    1. First, tadpoles grow two back legs.
      1. As it grows bigger, the tail becomes shorter, and four small legs begin to grow. Lungs grow inside the body of the young frog.
        1. Frogs are amphibians. Adult frogs have smooth skin and four legs. They breathe air through their lungs and are oviparous.
          1. Finally, the young frog becomes an adult and leaves the water.
            1. To reproduce, adult frogs lay eggs in water.
