      • Maxillary sinus
        • Drains into the nose through a hole called "ostia".
      • Ethmoid sinus
        • Filter the air that goes into the nasal cavity.
      • Frontal sinus
        • They are air spaces lined with mucous membranes.
  4. Larynx

    • Nasopharynx
      • Provides a passageway for air during breathing.
    • Oropharynx
      • Is a passage that connects the back of the mouth and nose to the esophagus.
    • Laryngopharynx
      • Is where both the food and air pass. It also gude the food and air.
    • Connect the pharynx to the trachea in the neck. The larynx allow air to pass through it while keeping food and drink from blocking the airway. Is also the body’s “voice box” as it contains the vocal folds that produce the sounds of speech and singing.

    • Cricoid cartilage
    • Cricothryroid ligament
      • Base of the vocal cords
    • Epiglottis
      • Acts as a switch between the larynx and the esophagus to permit air enter to the airway to the lungs and food to pass into the gastrointestinal tract.
    • Thyrohyoid membrane
      • The thyrohyoid membrane creates the conditions necessary for the upward movement of the larynx during deglutition.
    • Thyrohyoid cartilage
      • This cartilage is also known as Adam's apple.

    • Left main Bronchus
    • Left upper lobe of lung
    • Lingula
      • Is like a little tongue in lungs
    • Right upper lobe of lung
    • Right lower lobe of lung
    • Right middle lobe of lung
    • Right main bronchus

    • Bronchi
      • Air passages into the lungs that begin at the end of the trachea. There are two bronchi, one for each lung. The bronchus divide into smaller branches known as segmental bronchi, which divide again into bronchioles, and then again into terminal bronchioles.
    • Alveoli
      • They exchange oxygen and carbon dioxide molecules to and from the bloodstream.
