Position notation
- Base
- The first row identifies the numerical base or base. The decimal notation system is based on 10, therefore, the base is 10.
- Number position
- The second row takes into account the position of the decimal number from right to left, 0 (first position), 1 (second position), 2 (third position), 3 (fourth position).
- Calculation
- The third row calculates the position value by increasing the base with the exponential value of the position. Note: n ^ 0 is always = 1.
- Position value
- The first row identifies the numerical base or base. Therefore, the value indicated, from left to right, represents units of thousands, hundreds, tens, and units.
