1. Can come at the beginning or at the end of the sentence
2. Includes words like: yesterday, today, tomorrow, now, recently, and soon
  1. Recently can also come between the auxiliary and the ver or before the verb
3. They answer the queastion when?
  1. Can refer to a definite or indefinite time
Possibility
1. Includes words like certainly, definitely, probably,maybe, and perhaps
2. If there isn't an auxiliary in the sentence, -ly adverbs of possibility come before the verb
3. If there is an auxiliary then -ly adverbs can be placed before or after be or the auxiliary
4. The show how shure we are about something
Manner
1. Usually come after the verb
2. In sentences with an auxiliary verb they can be placed between the auxiliary and the main verb
  1. Does not aply with auxiliary do
3. Answer the question How?
  1. Describes the way something is done
4. They were patiently waiting for the news
Opinnion
1. Most occur at the beginning of the sentence or before the verb
2. Includes words like: fortunately, happily, incredibly, luckily, obviously, strangely and surprisingly
3. They give an opinion about an entire sentence or idea
