1. COMPUTER SYSTEM

   • It is the set of elements necessary for the realization and use of computer applications. It is made up of four main elements:
     • EQUIPMENT (hardware)
       • It is the set of physical parts that make up a computer: unit central processing, motherboard, peripherals and networks.
         • (C.P.U.)
           • It is known as a processor or CPU, its function is control, coordinate and carry out all the operations of the system.
         • Motherboard
           • Called motherboard, it is the main card that contains the components essentials of a computer system. It is the set of printed circuits, chips and connectors.
         • Peripherals
           • They are devices that transmit data between different information media
         • Networking
           • There are two types of networks. One of them is local networks, known as LAN (local area network), which are a set of personal computers connected to each other. The other type of network are wide area networks, known as WAN (wide area network), in which computers are separated by great distances.
     • PROGRAMS(software)
       • The formal system of a computer system is known as software, software or logical support, which comprises all the necessary logical components that make it possible to carry out specific tasks, as opposed to the physical components that are called hardware.
     • FIRMWARE
       • It is the system software that resides in the permanent memory of the computer.
     • COMPUTER PERSONNEL
       • They are the users of the computer system of the developers, those who design the system and the personnel who are in charge of keeping it running.
