Types of process

  1. Forming process

    • The objetive of forming a material is to give it a certain shape, following a series of specific techniques.
    • This process allows a part to be reshaped without the need to add or remove material in metalworking.
  2. Material remove process

    • Forming operations in which excess material is removed from a starting workpiece in such a way that what remains in the final shape.
    • In all traditional processes for material removal, the three basic elements are the workpiece, the cutting tool, and the machine tool.
  3. Deformation process

    • It is a process in which, due to the applied forces, the shape and/or size of the part changes.
    • For it to take place, the applied force must involve a greater effort than the original yield strength of the material, and in this way a deformation is produced at the same time.
  4. Material joining process

    • It is a controlled process use to fuse materials.
    • Mechanical joints are elements that serve to maintain the relative position between several pieces, that is, they limit the movement between the pieces to be joined (linear and/or rotational movement) and their degrees of freedom.
  5. Finishing process

    • The finish is a manufacturing process with which the appropriate surface of a product is obtained; however, it is not limited to the aesthetic issue, since specifications that have to do with the dimensions of the object are also obtained.
  6. Tunning process

    • It consists of obtained de response of the measured signal to a disturbance (for example, a pulse at the set point) with a proportional controller. The response is observed and if it is damped, the gain is increased until Sustained Oscillations (oscillation with constant amplitude) are achieved.
  7. Heat treatment process

    • It is a group of industrial, thermal, and metallurgical processes that are used to alter the physical and sometimes chemical properties of a material. The most common application is metallurgical.
  8. Solidification process

    • It is a physical process in which the change of state of any matter that passes from liquid to solid occurs.
    • Tis phenomenon is carried out due to a decrease in temperature and energy that exists between the chemical bonds of the elements that constitute matter.
  9. Coating process

    • The coating process consists of applying a coating material to a moving band of flexible substrate.
    • Iron-on coating is ideal for adding functionality to a substrate, creating a new product, or adding the adhesive for reactivation in the next step in the production process.
      • Either for roll to roll lamination or as a cut piece in a heated press.
