1. Electronics is a relatively new branch of technology.It is difficult to say exactly when electronics started,but they put it on the market in the 1970s.

   • TRANSISTORS:Transistors are an electronic component that amplifies small electric currents or switches them on or off.A transistor is made of three parts of semiconductor material

2. A resistor is an electronic component which we put in a circuit to reduce the flow of electrons.

   • We use resistors because sometimes we want to limit the amount of current that reaches the next electronic component does not fuse

6. A light dependent resistor (LDR) is a resistor that varies its resistance according to the amount of light that falls on its surface.

7. Thermistors are resistors that vary their resistance according to temperature,we use them in thermostats to detect temperature

8. We can vary the resistance value of a potentiometer by turning a dial,inside the potentiometer there is a fixed value resistor with one end connected to the circuit

10. Capacitors accumulate electric energy.Unfortunately ,they can´t accumulate much electric energy.Capacitors are made of a pair of conductor plates separated by a dielectric.

    • There are different tipes of capacitors,each with its own characteristics:Dielectric capacitors,film capacitors,ceramic capacitors and electrolytic capacitors

11. Semiconductors are materials which have variable electrical resistance.The two most common semiconductor materials are siicon and germanium.

12. Diodes are components that allow a current to flow in one direction, but stop the flow from the opposite direction.Diodes have two parts the anode and the cathode,each one is madeof a different semiconductor material.

    • Light emitting diodes(LEDs) are a particular type of diode.When a current flown through them,they emit light.As with any other diode,they only let a current flow in one diretion
