3. History of GST

   • LUDWIG VON BERTALANFFY
     • Born in September 19th, 1901, in Atzgersdorf, Austria
     • He was a Biologist and a Philospher
     • He wrote the most famous book on the General Systems Theory
     • He published The individual growth model
     • In 1936 he developed the GST, to solve the problem arround 3 elements
       • A system
       • A Boundary arround the System
       • Surroundings
     • He died in 1972, in Buffalo, New York
   • ROSS ASHBY
     • Born in September 6th, 1903 in London, England
     • Doctor and Neurologist
     • In 1955 the GST was further developed by Ashby
     • President for the Society of General Systems from 1962- 1964
     • He was widely influential in Cybernetics, Systems Theory and Complex Systems
     • Died in 1972
