   • Intended to different scientific disciplines work together to gain new knowledge and improve understanding of ancient knowledge
   • Can be applicable to many diferents knowledge fields

2. Who developed it?

   • Ludwig von Bertalanffy 1936
     • He unveiled his theory at a seminar of Charles Morris at the University of Chicago in 1937
     • in 1969 he published his theory in his book called general systems theory
     • he recognized a body such as an open system
