1. Population and Sampling

   • Population= The truth Sample= Window to the truth
     • Types of sample: simple random, systematic, stratified, cluster.

2. Hypothesis Tests

   • Unit of analyisis, logical element, variable.
     • Error type 1: Reject H0 but H0 is true. Error type2: Accept H0 but H0 is false.

3. Z-Test

   • When n>30, M= average of the population, Zc= contrast z, X= average of the sample, alpha= significance level.

4. t-Test

   • When n<30, Degrees of freedom= n-1, X= mean of the samples, M= mean of the population, S= standard dev.
