1. Its can be known as the brain of the CPU

   • It carries out instructions
     • such as input and output
     • it functions by fetch,decode and exocute
     • It translates the code into binory so the CPU can exocute it

2. there are 3 levels of cache

   • Its on the CPU so its easy for the CPU to quicky acces

3. Hertz is how many instructions it can do per second

   • hertz is measured by a quarts crystal that vibrates.
     • So the more vibrations indecate how many instuction it does per second.
       • so one hertz is one vibration a second.
