Ecological niche
  1. The ecolgoical niche of a species is the sum of all the physical, chemical and biological factors it needs to survive and reproduce
    1. The physical, abiotic enviroment determines where the members of a species are physiogoically capable of living. this is called the fundamental niche
      1. The part of the Fundamental niche that a soecies actually occupies is called a realised niche
      2. Competition between members of the same species is called interspecific competition
        1. Competition between two different species for limited resources is called intra specific competition
          1. Competition exclusion principle; states that species with the same requirements cannot live permentantly together in the same habitat because one is bound to be a stronger competitor than the other
